Q?What if I do not pass the exam?
A.

If you fail the exam, you are allowed to retake the exam up to 3 times within 1 year of course registration. The first proctored exam fee is included in the course tuition. Additional proctored exams are $60 each and must be paid upon exam request.

Q?When can I take the pre-licensing class exam?
A.

You can take exam anytime within 1 year of registering for our course. You must request your exam at least 14 days in advance.

Q?How do I pay for my Surety Bail Bond Class?
A.

We only accept checks and money orders at this time. Please submit your payment along with the original signed application form.

Q?How do I get a refund for the Bondman classes, tuition, or proctor fees?
A.

This is a self-study course and your participation begins the moment you receive our course materials. We are unable to give refunds after delivery of your course materials.

Q?What are the Ohio minimum requirements to become a bail bond agent?
A.

To be licensed as a bail bond agent in Ohio, you must be at least 18 years old, and you must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Q?Does this Ohio Surety bail class meet the Ohio Department of Insurance requirements for Pre-Licensing?
A.

Yes we are an ODI State-Authorized self-study course provider for Surety Bail Bond Agent pre-licensing.

Q?Is being a bail bondsman the same as a bounty hunter?
A.

No, a modern bail bondsman closely resembles an insurance agent. Fugitive recovery is almost always optional, depending on the agency you work with.

Q?What is included in the surety bail bond class materials?
A.

We include the course rules, handbook published by the Department of Insurance, and course textbook “Ohio Surety Bail Bond Agent Pre-Licensing Manual”.
